The State Chancellery is the staff office of the Cantonal Council and Government. In cooperation with various partners, the Political Rights Service plans and organises federal and cantonal elections and votes in the canton of St.Gallen.

What to expect

• You are responsible for the e-voting ballots in the canton of St.Gallen and ensure compliance with the legal, professional and security-relevant requirements
• You work closely with the position of specialist employee/voting services and actively participate in the operational implementation of the e-voting ballots, especially in system installations, the installation of laptops, the configuration of the ballots, the implementation of tests and the operation of the productive ballots
• You help shape the further development of e-voting and introduce cantonal requirements into the relevant committees
• You are the central contact person for e-voting in the canton of St.Gallen and ensure cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• If necessary, you will support the department in further projects in the field of digitization of political rights

What distinguishes you

• University degree (FH/University) in a relevant area and ideally experience in the field of elections and voting
• Interest in political processes
• Good digital skills and willingness to familiarize yourself with technical topics
• Very structured, precise and reliable way of working and ability to act calmly in critical situations
• Secure and addressable communication with various stakeholders in a politically sensitive environment (very good knowledge of German in words and writing, knowledge of French is advantageous)
• Experience in managing or coordinating complex projects
• Readiness for assignments outside regular working hours and flexibility in work planning
