The State Chancellery is the staff office of the Cantonal Council and Government. In cooperation with various partners, the Political Rights Service plans and organises federal and cantonal elections and votes in the canton of St.Gallen.

What to expect

• You work closely with the specialist e-voting and assume central tasks in the operational operation of electronic voting
• You configure the e-voting ballots, carry out tests and take over the productive implementation and post-processing (statistics, calculation of the ballots)
• You run system installations and trusted builds, set up laptops and work with input/output files
• You manage operating documentation (e.g. instructions, contracts) and contribute to the continuous improvement of operating processes
• You support the department in the operation of the e-collection platform and other digital services in the field of political rights

What distinguishes you

• Master in Business Informatics (or equivalent degree) with appropriate professional experience
• High IT affinity and interest in becoming familiar with technical systems and processes
• Very structured, precise and reliable working method
• Ability to oversee complex processes and act calmly in critical situations
• High sense of responsibility and interest in political processes
• Very good knowledge of German in words and writing, knowledge of French is advantageous
• Readiness for assignments outside regular working hours and flexibility in work planning
