Description

• Operation and maintenance of MS-SQL databases, ensuring availability, performance and security of existing MS-SQL instances
• Ensure maintenance, backups and restorations
• Picetting service for database operation, participation in standby service to ensure operational stability and rapid troubleshooting
• Building MS-SQL on Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS), supporting the design, implementation and migration of MS-SQL databases to the container platform RHOS
• Ensure the operation of PostgreSQL on RHOS, take over the operation and further development of PostgreSQL databases on RHOS
• Monitoring, performance tuning and error analysis in the container environment
• Ensure documentation and transfer of know-how
• Completion of a university of applied sciences (FH or HF) in the field of computer science, business informatics or systems engineering
• Several years of experience as an MS-SQL database engineer
• Experience with container technologies (e.g.

Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (especially RHOS)

• Ideally, certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or PostgreSQL Professional Certification Experience in scripting and automation, PowerShell, Bash, if applicable.
