- Several years of professional experience in vehicle construction are advantageous
- Good knowledge in a current 3D CAD system, preferably Catia V5
- Good knowledge of a current calculation software, preferably aPriori
- Knowledge of German (level C1) and knowledge of English (level B2) in word and writing
- Knowledge of value analysis (value analysis / value engineering), design-to-cost, process cost accounting
- SAP, MS-Office knowledge is beneficial TASKS
- Responsible as the responsible specialist for consulting and supporting engineering, project management and procurement during the entire project phase
- Creation of product cost calculations (target costs, actual costs, target costs) and development of calculation models and cost breakdowns
- Creation of business cases, make-or-buy analyses and execution of scenario analyses
- Estimation of the cost impact through design changes (design-to-cost) and consulting on development in order to find cost-optimal solutions (design-to-value)
- Responsibility for the technically correct design and development of mechanical assemblies in the interior and exterior of our vehicles, technical evaluation of components, manufacturing processes, materials
- Creation, construction and preparation of production-ready documents (3D models, drawings and parts lists) and technical specifications
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and concepts as well as elaboration of solutions
- Cross-divisional and cross-location cooperation as well as exchange with other departments (e.g. production, purchasing, project management, approval, surface technology)
- Comparison of supplier offers with our own cost analysis and support of our suppliers in relation to technical issues
- Support of our production during evaluation and first use of new products
