You don’t just control raw materials – you control our profit leverage. Raw materials are not a purely operational purchasing topic for us. They decide on margin, security of supply and competitiveness. Therefore, we are not looking for a classic buyer who manages orders. But someone who takes responsibility for his product groups – strategically, analytically and with clear implementation in day-to-day business. You expect a strategically important role with a direct influence on results and security of supply as well as high visibility in the company. You design and develop your product groups independently and are in direct contact with relevant specialist areas and management. 🚀 Tasks:

• You develop and implement category strategies for key agricultural raw materials – with a focus on results, security of supply and long-term competitiveness
• You analyze markets, prices, harvests, weather developments, availability and global cycles and derive concrete purchasing measures from them.
• You identify potential savings, risks and opportunities within your categories and consistently implement appropriate measures
• You plan and control tenders – from market analysis to supplier selection and negotiation to contract conclusion
• You conduct independent negotiations with national and international suppliers and build up reliable business relationships
• You develop supplier strategies and ensure a stable, competitive and sustainable supply
• You make well-founded timing and procurement decisions – not only on the basis of internal needs, but also with regard to market cycles and supply situation
• You work closely with supply chain, R&D, quality, production and finance and translate their requirements into clear purchasing decisions
• You prepare market, pricing and decision templates for relevant stakeholders and management
• You translate your strategies into concrete contracts, robust supplier performance and measurable results
• You continuously monitor the development of your markets and react to changes, risks and opportunities at an early stage
• You bring structure to complex procurement situations and ensure clear processes, clean documentation and consistent implementation requirements:
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, category management or commodity management
• Ideally, experience in purchasing raw materials, agricultural raw materials or comparable volatile product groups
• Strong market understanding – you think in terms of crops, cycles, availability and risks, not just prices
• Experience in the development and implementation of product group and supplier strategies
• Negotiation security in dealing with national and international suppliers
• Analytical strength and the ability to translate complex information into clear decisions
• Independent, structured and consistent working method
• Sovereignty in dealing with different stakeholders and conflicts of objectives
• Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
