Main responsibilities
- The assistant professor's focus is on establishing a program in precision medicine for patients with advanced lung diseases and conducting innovative clinical, genomic and experimental studies.
- It is intended to contribute to better understanding and treatment of a wide range of advanced lung diseases (structural lung diseases such as fibrosis and emphysema, CTEPH).
- The main research area of the Thoracic Surgery Clinic is oncology, emphysema and pulmonary hypertension, as well as transplantation research.
- Professor:in is part of the Thoracic Surgery Team and is intended to cover the entire spectrum of general thoracic surgery.
- Perspectiveally, the management of the transplant program is envisaged.
- We are looking for a creative and cooperative personality who is committed to excellence in research, clinic and teaching.
- The ideal:e candidate:in has successfully acquired competitive research funding and published in recognized journals.
- We expect a completed specialist training in thoracic or cardiac surgery, clinical leadership experience as well as a habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements.
