- Identification of hazard points in road traffic (BSM, RSI), carrying out traffic-related investigations according to VSS standards and developing measures and concepts for the sustainable improvement of road safety
Main responsibilities

- Identification of hazard points in road traffic (BSM, RSI), carrying out traffic-related investigations according to VSS standards and developing measures and concepts for the sustainable improvement of road safety
- Testing of traffic arrangements, traffic concepts and road construction projects with regard to legal compliance, traffic safety and traffic planning requirements
- Writing of technically sound opinions, decisions, opinions and concepts on transport-related issues as well as on political and legal templates
- Representing the traffic police in specialist committees and coordinating cooperation with cities, municipalities, federal and cantonal authorities, engineering offices and other partner organisations
- Performing traffic analyses, traffic counts and accident evaluations, generating complex evaluations in ASTRANA/VUGIS and preparing and publishing geoinformation
- Cooperation in the further development of road safety, supporting road safety campaigns, participating in the introduction and further training of employees as well as assuming further technical tasks within the main department of the traffic police Your profile
- Swiss bachelor’s degree in transport engineering, transport engineering or a similar discipline;
- Alternatively for foreign bachelor’s degree: several years of work in Switzerland in the field of transport engineering
- Training as a CAS road safety expert or willingness to complete it
