Role overview

Tasks: You think of the facility management as a holistic approach, act in a solution-oriented manner and keep an overview even in complex operating structures? Then you will take on a central role at the University of Bern in the further development of infrastructural and technical building operations. The focus of this function is on provider management as well as the coordination and further development of services relating to building operations and building technology.

As a specialist:in Facility Management you work closely with all areas of the BT department and see yourself as an internal: service provider:in.

  • You continue to tax and develop external providers and services in Facility Management.
  • Plan, procure, implement and optimize Facility Services and services in Building Technology.
  • Develop service levels, operator and FM strategies as well as operational concepts.
  • Manage public procurement and support operational projects.
  • Ensure quality, environmental, safety and sustainability standards.
  • Analyse operating indicators and conduct optimization measures.
  • Treat complaints and ensure the quality of the Facility Services.
  • Actively network with internal stakeholders, authorities and external service providers.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training with further education or Bachelor in Facility Management / Business Administration
  • Multi-year experience in provider management, Facility Management and building operations
  • A well-founded understanding of technical and infrastructural services
  • Professional attitude with strategic thinking towards different stakeholders
  • High service orientation in self-employed and structured working methods
