Superior responsibility in internal medicine, a workload of 80% and a hospital-owned daycare – are you looking for this combination? And how about working only 35 minutes by train from Bern, about 50 minutes from Basel and Zurich and about an hour from the German border? Our client is a public hospital with a center function. It belongs to a cantonal hospital group, which is one of the largest employers in the region. The Clinic for General Internal Medicine supervises the internistic bed stations (around 100 beds) together with the special disciplines in-house: cardiology, neurology with Stroke Unit, gastroenterology, nephrology with dialysis, oncology and hematology, endocrinology/diabetology, pneumology and infectiology. In addition, there is an interdisciplinary emergency unit, an intensive care unit and an IMC. For you, this means broad internal medicine, and the specialists: inside can be reached in-house. The medical cadre comprises more than 20 doctors:innen, including at least 15 senior doctors:innen. The clinic is recognized as a training institution of the highest category for General Internal Medicine. You live and work in a manageable city with a historic old town. The location is more central than in hardly any other place in the Swiss Mittelland. A train runs to Bern every 15 minutes on weekdays, the journey takes 35 minutes. Basel and Zurich can be reached in about 50 minutes without detour. Basel is located directly on the border, from there long-distance trains to Frankfurt and Berlin. Visits to family and friends: women in Germany can therefore also be scheduled spontaneously. Zurich Airport can be reached by train in just over an hour. In summer, families bathe at secure bathing spots in the river in the middle of the region. Hiking and Velorouten start right on your doorstep.

Their tasks

• They bear the medical responsibility for internistic patients: inside – from the first assessment to the therapy decision
• They accompany assistant doctors: inside and under assistants: inside in clinical everyday life and are their first professional contact person
• You take on services in the clinic’s service system and work closely with emergency and special disciplines
• You participate in internal training and pass on your knowledge to the team
• They contribute their own ideas on how to further develop the quality and processes of the departments

Your Competences

• Specialist title General Internal Medicine
• Knowledge of German at a good level in order to be able to exchange ideas with patients and colleagues at eye level
• Joy of interdisciplinary cooperation and the training of younger colleagues:
