- Maintenance and development of manufacturing processes for a wide range of fiberoptic cables used worldwide
- Accompany and document new developments up to series maturity in an agile development team
- Evaluation of new raw materials in the context of product developments
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes, workflows, plant configurations and workplaces in collaboration with production
- Creation and ongoing extension of process documentation according to EN9100
- Responsible for designing, procuring and maintaining extrusion tools, extrusion heads and extruders
- Plastics technologist EFZ, ideally with a focus on extrusion
- Further education as a plastic technician/in HF is advantageous
- In-depth knowledge in length production with mono- and co-extrusion, material behavior of thermoplastics (e.g. HFFR-PE, PBT, TPU), error analysis and quality management
- Very good and rapid comprehension of plant operation, extrusion processes and optical glass fibre technology
- Analytical thinking and structured working method, initiative and robust
- Experienced use of digital tools (process, product and project documentation)
- Liquid English and German skills in word and writing
- Collaboration in the development of the latest technologies in the field of optical fiber technology in an international customer environment
