For our client, an established company with several locations and technically demanding infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced leader to serve as Head of Technical Operations & Infrastructure. In this strategically and operationally important role, you will be responsible for the technical availability, further development and cost-effectiveness of facilities and infrastructure across several locations. You will combine technical expertise with leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking, and actively help shape the future technical direction.

02 Your responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for technical services as well as the availability and further development of equipment, technical operations and infrastructure at several locations
• Development and implementation of a sustainable maintenance strategy with a focus on safety, availability, efficiency and long-term equipment reliability
• Leading and managing automation, investment, infrastructure and optimization projects from the concept phase through the cost-effectiveness assessment to implementation
• Leading and developing the technical organization, including direct management of technical specialists and managers, and promoting a culture of individual responsibility
• Managing the division based on budgets, key performance indicators, investment planning and technical risks, and ensuring transparent cost and performance development
• Identifying critical technical risks and developing measures for emergency planning, redundancy, resilience to failures and sustainable operational safety

04 Your profile

• Higher technical education at HF, FH or university level, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, building services engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of leadership experience in a technical environment, ideally with responsibility for multiple sites and the management of managers
• Sound knowledge of maintenance, automation, technical infrastructure and/or complex technical systems
• Experience in leading larger investment, automation or infrastructure projects, as well as a strong understanding of technical and economic interrelationships
• Fluent German and good English language skills
