Main responsibilities
- The Chair of Neurology is to be re-appointed at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich as of 1 February 2028.
- The chair is located at the Department of Neurology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, care and teaching.
- It is connected with the head of the clinic.
- Requirements: A dynamic, integrative personality with extensive clinical expertise, scientific excellence and corresponding international visibility is sought.
- Habilitation or equivalent scientific qualification as well as a specialist title in neurology are required.
- They have a convincing concept for neurological research and teaching of the future.
- Possible research areas of the professorship include cerebrovascular diseases, neurooncology, movement disorders, degenerative diseases and neuroimmunology.
- As you will take over the management of the Neurology Clinic, you will bring management experience at least at the level of a senior physician or senior physician/conductor at a university clinic.
- In addition, you have extensive experience in the management of a larger research group, the recruitment of competitive third-party funds as well as in the teaching of the student, the supervision of qualification work and the promotion of young academics.
- The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the existing and new cooperation within the hospital and with other research institutions.
