- In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the maintenance team by carrying out daily activities in accordance with agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures.
- You will contribute your technical skills to increase the overall efficiency of equipment and production lines across our highly automated machinery landscape. Work model: Onsite
- Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, polymechanic, production mechanic, electrician, or a comparable technical qualification
- At least 10 years of experience diagnosing and repairing production and assembly equipment (mechanical / electrical / pneumatic)
Main responsibilities
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the maintenance team by carrying out daily activities in accordance with agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures.
- You will contribute your technical skills to increase the overall efficiency of equipment and production lines across our highly automated machinery landscape. Work model: Onsite
- This position supports the Electrification, Smart Buildings, Energy Distribution business in Schaffhausen. Your
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on equipment within our diverse and highly automated machinery park
- Performing preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment
- Working closely with production cells as well as collaborating with Production Engineering and external service providers
- Contributing to and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment

Key requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, polymechanic, production mechanic, electrician, or a comparable technical qualification
- At least 10 years of experience diagnosing and repairing production and assembly equipment (mechanical / electrical / pneumatic)
- NIV13 or NIV15 installation authorization is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it (costs covered by ABB)
- Engages constructively with coworkers, communicates clearly, maintains high motivation, and organizes work without close supervision Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP
- Fluent German skills; basic English skills are an advantage
- Willingness to work in a 3‑shift system with on‑call duty after an intensive onboarding period
