Introduction
The Engineering Department (EN) provides CERN with the Engineering expertise, Infrastructure Systems, and Technical Coordination necessary for the design, installation, operation, maintenance and dismantling phases of the CERN accelerator complex and its experimental facilities.
The position is within the Transport and Handling Engineering Group (EN-THE), which is responsible for preparing, organising, and coordinating all transport and handling operations for the CERN accelerators and experiments.

- As a Technical Engineer in EN-THE, you will be part of the Handling Equipment Maintenance (EN-HE-HEM) Section, which manages and maintains all the industrial transport, handling and lifting equipment to ensure reliable performance throughout its lifecycle.
- As a Technical Engineer in the EN-THE-HEM Section, you will be part of a team of 10 people (technical engineers and technicians) in charge of the supply, commissioning and maintenance of industrial trucks at CERN.
- Manage procurement activities within existing supply and maintenance contracts, including placing orders and ensuring alignment with technical specifications. Would be considered an asset:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Mechanics or Electromechanics or a related field.
- Experience in electrical and control systems would be an asset. Technical competencies:
- Knowledge of Control systems would be an asset. Behavioural competencies:
- Working in Teams: working well in groups and readily fitting into a team; participating fully and taking an active role in team activities.
