The Institute of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Spitäler Schaffhausen offers a wide range of research methods; Convenient radiology, digital illumination, computer tomography, magnetic resonance tomography, interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. We work in the canton of Schaffhausen as well as in adjacent regions closely with the doctors who are responsible for and after-treating, thus ensuring comprehensive care. The institute is equipped with digital direct radiography, four ultrasound devices, two CT and four MR devices (1.5 and 3 Tesla), a modern SPECT-CT and PET-CT, a fully digital illumination and angiography site, digital mammography and stereotaxy as well as osteodensitometry. In addition to imaging diagnostics with a focus on senology, oncology and diagnostic neuroradiology, numerous diagnostic and therapeutic image-controlled interventions are also carried out. Another focus is the MSK radiology. In addition, we have certification as a center for cardiac imaging. A RIS and PACS system with digital voice recognition is available at all workplaces. The Institute has a training authorization in radiology (category A) and diagnostic neuroradiology (one year).
