Role overview

Review complex applications for refunds of withholding tax on the basis of the Withholding Tax Act and/or a double taxation agreement.

Conduct specific investigations into cases of tax avoidance and abuse, particularly in the area of banks, insurance companies and collective investment schemes.

Analyze applicants' documents, write sophisticated correspondence (particularly in German and English) and conduct negotiations with domestic and foreign applicants or their representatives.

During audits of banks and insurance companies Collaborate and prepare reports and decisions Participate in projects and working groups Higher commercial training in the area of banking, auditing or taxes and proven many years of professional experience in the financial sector, preferably with a tax connection or with a specialization in the area of financial markets Several years of experience in the area of finance and possibly taxes as well as in-depth knowledge of the financial market, ideally supplemented with further training in this area (e.g.

CFA, CIIA, dealer license or SSK certificate II/III)

  • Confidence in style when writing demanding and complex ones Correspondence as well as a precise and structured way of working
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking, goal- and result-oriented actions, business skills and assertiveness
  • Very good oral and written knowledge of a second official language and English
