• Research on digital demography topics including ageing, fertility, migration and digital transformation
• Coordination and further development of the social science data platform together with a team
• Participation in research projects of the Digital Society Lab
• Teaching in the bachelor and master courses of the department
• Further development of its own research agenda
• Participation in scientific activities of the IFS and the Department Requirements
• Doctorate in Sociology or Related Specialties
• Relevant qualifications in sociology, demography, computational social science or related fields
• Research experience in demographic research and digital social research
• Interest in computational approaches and data-driven social research
• Experience with quantitative methods and data analysis
• Experience with data visualization and/or publicly accessible data platforms is an advantage
• Experience in teaching at bachelor and master level is beneficial
• Very good English skills in word and writing; sound knowledge of German is an advantage
