Key requirements

  • Peer practitioner diploma in mental health or equivalent required.
  • As part of your role, you will be required to intervene in complementarity with the healthcare teams, without clinical action, while respecting the professional limits of the role and: o share in a professional and controlled manner elements of your experience and your recovery journey, when this is useful to inspire, support and empower patients in their own process o promote hope, empowerment and active participation of beneficiaries in the activities offered o collaborate closely with the healthcare team to promote the reduction of stigma and respect for the point of view of patients o work in a network, in particular with the Association Neuchâteloise d'Accueil et d'Action Psychiatrique o lead or co-lead activities intended for patients o observe, transmit and link lived experiences to relevant theoretical notions to support the team in its practices o organize and plan your interventions in accordance with the mandate given and institutional priorities The skills required for this position are as follows: o hold a Peer diploma mental health practitioner (CAS PPSM) or a title deemed equivalent (DU peer aid) o be able to interact with people with psychiatric disorders. o know the local network, external resources and professional partners. o master oral and written communication in French in a clear and understandable manner. o demonstrate autonomy and know how to organize interventions effectively. o demonstrate good listening, communication and creating a climate of trust skills. o work collaboratively and actively contribute to the team’s objectives.
