The CNP is looking for a dietician for its Prefargier site. This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate a mental health team.

Tasks

• Conduct nutritional monitoring of patients in psychiatry.
• Work with staff to develop dietary menus.
• Conduct group sessions on balanced diet.

Competences

• Diploma in nutrition and dietetics, experience in hospital.
• Clinical nutrition and communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team and manage multiple priorities.

Establishment of cantonal public law, the CNP has the task of conducting the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with the partner institutions. The NPC aims to rehabilitate patients with mental disorders by adopting an integrated, community-based psychiatry model; implement public policies to promote and prevent mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of vocational training and psychiatry research. To complement its team, the Health Care Directorate is looking for its Prefargier site, one of the following:

You conduct nutritional screening of in-patient patients and organize dietary meals accordingly by ensuring recommended or specific nutritional intakes. You are developing prophylactic activities and raising awareness of a balanced diet.

As part of your function you will be required to

• care and nutritional monitoring of patients with psychiatric conditions. Areas of management: undernutrition, obesity/overweight, metabolic disorder, gastroenterology, eating behaviour disorder, swallowing disorder, etc.
• Inform and sensitize employees on nutritional problems encountered
• participate in updating service documents
• collaborate with chef de cuisine, cooks in dietetics and hotel assistants in the development of menus and carry out dietary variations
• ensure proper implementation of dietary requirements and compliance with specific diets
• participate in improving the meal management tool
• collaborate in a multidisciplinary manner with other in-house care actors and organize outpatient follow-up
• conduct therapeutic group sessions
• initiate, develop and conduct innovative nutrition and food projects.

• have experience in clinical nutrition
• have an interest in developing the service
• be motivated by nutritional support in psychiatric settings
• enjoy working in a varied context offering rich and diverse days, while managing several priorities and adapting to the evolving needs of patients and the institution
• define and implement patient-friendly care and therapeutic activities
• be able to work as a team, network and autonomously
• ability to develop an appropriate therapeutic relationship and implement individualized interventions
• be rigorous in decision-making and professional attitudes
• have good relational and communication skills
• master the French language and the usual computer tools.

The training and experience required is as follows

• holds a HES - ES degree in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent
• to benefit from an experience in a hospital environment, in psychiatry an asset
