Tasks

• Accompany patients in their daily lives and autonomy.
• Organize therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of patients.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and symposia.

Competences

• SWC of socio-educational assistant required; psychiatry knowledge appreciated.

Establishment of cantonal public law, the CNP has the task of conducting the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The NPC aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders by adopting an integrated and community psychiatry model; implements public policies to promote and prevent mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of vocational training and psychiatry research. For its F2 hospital unit, the Department of Advanced Age is looking for:

Socio-educational assistant 80-100%

You have a socio-educational assistant CFC and wish to work with a population of advanced age in a recognized institution specializing in mental health.

As part of your function you will be required to

• Accompanying patients in daily life
• Use and maintain patient support documentation
• Organize individual or group therapeutic activities
• Encourage autonomy, personal expression and social interaction.
• Identify patient needs, wishes and interests
• Adapt the interventions to the physical, psychic, cognitive and social abilities of each.
• Animating and transcribing individual notes following patient activities
• Actively participate in patient assessments
• Participate in multidisciplinary symposia
• Know, respect and apply related procedures and documents related to its activity
• Ensuring patient safety
• Expressing views on socio-educational issues

The core competencies required are

• To hold a socio-educational assistant CFC
• Having knowledge in psychiatry would be an asset
• Be prepared to cooperate in a multidisciplinary team
