Role overview

About the role As a Project Leader, you will play a central role in the rapid and targeted development of innovative thermal interface materials (TIM) for battery and automotive applications. In particular, the focus is on thermally conductive adhesives (thermal conductive adhesives) and gap fillers. They translate demanding customer requirements into concrete material concepts and prototypes in the shortest possible time and accompany their development until successful sampling at the customer. You coordinate interdisciplinary development activities and ensure that customer requirements quickly lead to marketable solutions.

  • Leading and conducting feasibility studies for TIM materials from requirements analysis to successful customer evaluation and transfer to a development project.
  • Documentation of development results, risks, decisions and next steps in a comprehensible and management-friendly form.
  • Translation of customer requirements in techn. Specification, test concepts, DoE approaches and clear basis for decision-making
  • Evaluation and selection of suitable polymer chemistry, fillers, filler combination and process parameters
  • Direct technical communication with customers, internal interfaces, suppliers and production areas
  • Initiating and driving patenting of new technologies and processes
  • Customer communication is binding, fact-based and solution-oriented, without exaggerating technical risks or uncertainties.
  • Experimental plans are efficient, hypothesis-based and allow quick technical decisions even in the case of incomplete data.
  • Represents Sika and promotes positive perception in the technology sector (investors, congresses, seminars, etc.)
