Main responsibilities
- As an electrical installer, you are responsible for the production and maintenance of electrical installations, building automation and communication systems.
- You install control cabinets, program small controls and building automation systems.
- During your training, you will learn to test electrical equipment and to start working.
- In the maintenance, you fix malfunctions and repair equipment. Education
- The training lasts four years.
- Your practical training is completed by electro-installers in the apprenticeship, supplemented by over-company courses.
- On average, the vocational school takes about one day per week.
- In the first half of the teaching period, a broad foundation of knowledge and skills is laid, with the focus on manufacturing technology, switching and measuring technology and microcomputer technology.
- In the second half of the training, the focus is on training in occupational fields of activity.
- In this phase, trainees deepen their knowledge and skills through practical learning on work orders and projects.
