Role overview

You will support the day-to-day operation of Catering and Housing services used by the CERN community.

Working under the supervision of the Housing Manager, you will provide practical and responsive operational support, helping the team manage recurring activities, follow up on user requests and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Main responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities:
  • Support the operational follow-up of Hospitality activities, including accommodation-related contracts, day-to-day service coordination, user requests, tickets, feedback and service issues.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of service quality, contract performance and operational indicators.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support the resolution of operational issues and ensure smooth follow-up and communication.

Key requirements

  • Previous exposure to hospitality, accommodation, customer service or contract follow-up would be an asset.
  • Interest in service coordination and event support, particularly in the context of large institutional events. Skills:
  • Service-oriented mindset, with the ability to respond efficiently to operational needs and provide quality customer service.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to follow up several operational topics in parallel and communicate effectively with users, internal stakeholders and external service providers.

  • Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language. Eligibility criteria:
  • You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Service Management, Business Administration (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree .
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
