Role overview

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global category strategies in alignment with business needs and long-term objectives.

  • Ensure effective alignment between global procurement strategy and local execution, acting as a key interface, change agent and hands-on support if needed.
  • Drive compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including ESG standards and the Code of Conduct, while proactively managing supply chain risks within assigned categories.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Procurement, Category Management, or Global Sourcing within an international industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing global category strategies that deliver sustainable cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong sourcing experience in direct material categories such as sheet metal parts, CNC-machined components, mechanical assemblies, electromechanical parts, or comparable manufacturing commodities.
  • Experience in supplier selection, supplier development, global sourcing projects, and international supplier negotiations.
  • Experience in industrial transfer projects, including relocation of machines, assemblies, modules, or production lines between suppliers and manufacturing sites.
  • Solid understanding of supply planning, forecasting, inventory management, and S processes.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities through TCO evaluations, cost analyses, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions across Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier escalations, supply risks, obsolescence challenges, and business continuity initiatives in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven personality with a hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset.

Additional details

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20–30%).
