For our customers from the insurance industry in Lucerne, we are looking for several senior Java/JEE Enwicklers who are actively involved in the development of a new application system as part of the introduction of EFAS in a newly assembled Greenfield team.

Your tasks

• Developing sophisticated and sustainable software solutions as a senior Java/JEE developer in a newly assembled Greenfield team
• Development and implementation of architecture-compliant solution variants taking into account internal requirements
• Participation in the entire software lifecycle according to the principle “You build it, you run it” – from conception and development to operation
• Development with modern technologies such as Java, event and workflow based architectures, Docker and Kubernetes
• Application of modern software engineering practices such as Clean Code, Clean Architecture (Onion Architecture), TDD, BDD and DDD
• Ensuring software quality, including automated testing, quality assurance and product regression
• Active participation in the Scrum team and taking responsibility for the jointly developed solutions
• Working closely with product owners, business stakeholders and other development teams
• Introducing your own ideas, experiences and suggestions for improvement as well as constructively questioning existing solutions
• Continuous development of technical solutions and active participation in the future application and architecture
• Willingness to become familiar with the expertise of the Swiss healthcare sector and in particular the EFAS environment

Your profile

• Several years of experience in software development with Java/Jakarta EE (JEE) in complex and demanding environments
• In-depth experience with Kubernetes, Docker and DevOps and ideally with modern cloud/container architectures
• Very good knowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, TDD, BDD and DDD as well as a strong quality standard for sustainable software development
• Experience with event- and workflow-based architectures as well as interest in modern software engineering practices
• Experience in web development and with Angular
• Experience in agile Scrum teams and with a Lean Agile Mindset according to SAFe
• willingness to become familiar with complex topics in the Swiss healthcare system
• Experience in the health insurance environment is beneficial
• Independent, solution-oriented and quality-conscious working methods as well as enjoying taking responsibility for software from conception to operation
• Team players with openness to new ideas, active communication and willingness to constructively question existing solutions and procedures
• Enjoy working directly with business stakeholders and other development teams as well as a high willingness to learn
• Flowing in German and English
