Tasks
- Responsibility for front-end architecture across multiple teams and domains – from storefront and search to checkout, account and loyalty
- Further development of our standards for React, TypeScript, Server-Side Rendering, Micro-Frontends and Self-Contained Systems
- Establishment and establishment of joint component foundations as well as a scalable design system
- Targeted optimization of web performance and core web vitals as relevant levers for customer experience and conversion
- Design of modern rendering, streaming, edge, caching and bundle strategies as well as a meaningful front-end observability
- Elimination of organization-wide technical blockers in local development, tooling, build pipelines and architecture
- Anchoring security, accessibility and privacy by default across the frontend landscape
- Defining and further developing our AI tooling strategy including appropriate architecture, automated code reviews and effective use of modern engineering tools
- Technical coaching of engineers and team leads as well as close cooperation with domain architecture, product management and leadership
- Representing our technical orientation within the organization, towards budget managers and in the external tech community

- Responsibility for front-end architecture across multiple teams and domains – from storefront and search to checkout, account and loyalty
- Further development of our standards for React, TypeScript, Server-Side Rendering, Micro-Frontends and Self-Contained Systems
- Establishment and establishment of joint component foundations as well as a scalable design system
- Targeted optimization of web performance and core web vitals as relevant levers for customer experience and conversion

- Deep practical experience with React and TypeScript in productive, business-critical applications
- In-depth knowledge of server-side rendering, for example with Next.js, Remix or a comparable setup, as well as with micro-frontends or self-contained systems
- Proven expertise in web performance, core web vitals, accessibility and developing fast, scalable customer experiences
- Confident handling of concepts such as DDD, Clean Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, SOLID, Feature Flags and Dependency Injection as well as Design Systems, State Management and Component-Driven Development
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, DevOps practices, automated testing, CI/CD and the operation of systems according to the principle "You build it, you run it

- At least ten years of experience in modern software development with a strong focus on the frontend and at least two years in a technical leadership or architecture role
- Experience in a fast, product-oriented engineering organization with short iterations, regular releases and real end-to-end responsibility
- Enjoy sharpening requirements together with product management, understanding customer needs and making technical decisions from a user and business perspective
- Strong coaching and communication skills, servant leadership mindset and the ability to drive complex change with endurance, warmth and humor
