The MUNICIPALITY OF LUGANO opens the public competition (valid for the year 2026) for the hiring of midday break operators at nursery school (part-time) at the educational institute of the City of Lugano, under the conditions of the Organic Regulations of collaborators of the City of Lugano (ROCCL) and of these competition specifications.

- excellent knowledge of the Italian language (at proficiency level/C2 or equivalent or higher);
- for candidates who do not have a qualification as a nursery school or primary school teacher recognized by the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Directors of Public Education (CDPE) and/or by the Canton, participation in specific training organized by the Board of Inspectors of Municipal Schools (Cisco) is mandatory;
- availability for continuous training (updating and professional development). 2 Duties Based on the work programmes, the service needs and the indications of the managers, the midday break operator replaces the nursery school teachers during their 30 minute break between 11.00 and 14.00.
- It promotes the socialization process of children, guarantees reception, care and supervision and supports them in their psycho-physical development through individual and group interventions. In particular:
- ensures the supervision of children, respecting the mandate and ethics of professions in contact with children;
- accompanies the children when necessary when traveling;
