Main responsibilities
- Your future area of responsibility In this key function, you are responsible for shaping and actively shaping the future of universitary bacteriology at our center.They use the latest technologies to ensure diagnostics at the highest level and to continuously develop them. Their main tasks include:
- Strategic and operational management: They run the bacteriology department professionally and financially and are responsible for diagnostic routine.
- Design of automation: They drive the expansion of existing full automation and integrate innovative methods as well as new diagnostic tests into automated processes.
- Digital microbiology: They promote and initiate their own development work in this area.
- We actively support you in the use of machine learning techniques (ML) for optimising diagnostics.
- Interdisciplinary and interprof-essional cooperation: They expand diagnostic competence at the IMM through close cooperation with other departments - in particular M.I.B.
- Genomics, Mycology, Serology, Mycobacteriology and Molecular Diagnostics - and integrate the technical staff through internal training.

- Personality: You are an integrative, team-oriented and communication-strong personality who understands how to motivate employees and drive forward interdisciplinary projects.
- Vision: You are characterized by a high interest in digitisation and the application of ML techniques in microbiology.
