Job Overview

You will carry out post-doctoral research activities in the field of applied physics and engineering within CERN’s Experimental Physics (EP) Department.

You will contribute to the design, development, deployment and operation of physics experiments or experimental setups, with activities spanning detector technologies, material science, mechanical engineering, electronics and computing.

  • You conduct post-doctoral research activities in applied physics and engineering within CERN’s Experimental Physics (EP) Department.

  • You collaborate with physicists, engineers and technical experts on large-scale experimental projects involving advanced technologies.
  • You contribute to the analysis, documentation and dissemination of results within the experimental collaborations. Candidate Profile:
  • You have a strong background in applied physics, engineering or a closely related field.
  • You have research experience in applied physics and engineering, ideally linked to the design, development or operation of experimental systems.
  • You are interested in pursuing a career in research or academia and in taking an active role within a research project.
