Role overview
The mobile social emergency unit (UMUS), made up of nurses and social workers, intervenes in situations mainly linked to violence and precariousness in coordination with the Geneva socio-health network.
The team works in pairs and operates from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends and public holidays.

- Your missions and responsibilities Assess the nature of the request from a professional in the Geneva socio-health network and respond as quickly as possible or direct the situation towards a more suitable service
- Intervene and carry out jointly with the social worker, a socio-health assessment by bringing to this analysis their clinical expertise by quickly assessing the state of somatic and psychological health of the user
Main responsibilities
- Your missions and responsibilities Assess the nature of the request from a professional in the Geneva socio-health network and respond as quickly as possible or direct the situation towards a more suitable service
- Intervene and carry out jointly with the social worker, a socio-health assessment by bringing to this analysis their clinical expertise by quickly assessing the state of somatic and psychological health of the user
- Propose to the client and those around them means aimed at reducing the intensity of the crisis or emergency felt; offer them listening and support, aiming to immediately restore their balance and that of those around them
- Take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the user, those around them and the intervention partner
- Carry out a written assessment of each intervention by detailing the evaluation, the services offered as well as the solution(s) chosen by and for the user
- Evaluate the relevance of the management of each intervention
- Participate in conferences and team supervision, outside of intervention hours
- Intervene actively in sessions with partners.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from HEDS or title deemed equivalent
- CAS or DAS in a specialty linked to specific care would be a plus Ability to manage crisis situations
