The department's mission is to effectively detect and treat increasingly frequent and polymorphic pathologies while respecting patients and their loved ones. The addiction service provides diagnosis and therapeutic care for patients suffering from addiction problems (with and/or without substances) in accordance with the policy of the Confederation and the canton in the field of addictions, known as the “4 pillars” (prevention, risk reduction, treatment and care of individuals). Job Description

As head of clinic, with or without specialty title, you ensure psychiatric monitoring of patients/inmates and patients/inmates within the department (closed or open environment). You operate in a demanding clinical setting, at the intersection of care, justice and security issues, in close collaboration with experienced multidisciplinary teams. Your approach is part of an individualized therapeutic approach aimed at stabilizing mental disorders, rehabilitating symptoms and preventing recurrence. You contribute to global care, respectful of the dignity of people and the ethical principles specific to psychiatry in a context of constraint. In this capacity, you work in a coordinated manner with professional people with complementary skills, such as nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists. Alongside your activity, you have the opportunity to finalize, if this is not yet the case, your integrated quality post-graduate training contributing to obtaining the title of specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Qualifications

You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO). If you already have your specialist title, you are in possession of the cantonal right to practice or are able to obtain it before taking up your duties. For non-French speakers, French level C1 in the spoken and written test is required. Experience in the field of people deprived of their liberty is an asset and you already have some experience in psychiatry. As part of your commitment, a police investigation will be carried out for your placement in a closed environment.
