Job Description
As an internal doctor, you have started your training course in internal medicine and now wish to move towards obtaining the title of specialist in infectious diseases. In this context, you join the Infectious Diseases Department and participate in the activities of the various specialized consultations, particularly in general infectious diseases, with immunocompromised people, the elderly, in the field of septic orthopedics and HIV/AIDS, through rotations. Under the supervision of senior doctors, you ensure the care of the patients entrusted to you, both on an outpatient basis and intrahospital, within the entire institution. Thanks to your sense of organization and your rigor, you ensure the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic activities necessary for the care of patients. You ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures, with a constant concern for the quality of the medical services provided. Faced with the diversity of consultation requests and the complexity of certain clinical situations, you demonstrate composure, discernment and good stress management. Your intellectual curiosity encourages you to deepen your knowledge and understand the challenges of the situations you face. You also welcome constructive feedback with openness and use it as levers for progress in achieving your training objectives. Operating in a stimulating and demanding university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you also participate in the training of trainee doctors. You work closely with all of the institution's medical and healthcare teams, in a proactive approach focused on the needs of patients. You ensure that you maintain clear, respectful and appropriate communication, both with your colleagues and with those in care and their loved ones. In addition, you have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research projects within the department. As part of your training course, you develop your skills in accordance with the training plan and FMH requirements over three years within the service. It offers an environment recognized for the quality of its teaching, a wide range of activities in infectious diseases as well as development opportunities favoring obtaining the FMH title. You also benefit from personalized support through coaching sessions, targeted training and regular supervision provided by senior doctors as well as clinical managers.
Qualifications
You hold a federal medical diploma or have a diploma recognized as equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission (MEBEKO). You have at least three years of experience in general internal medicine or already hold an FMH in general internal medicine. Previous experience in clinical infectious disease is an asset. You are aiming to obtain the title of FMH specialist in infectious diseases and wish to complete all or part of your training within the department.
