Who you are

As an IKEA Food employee, you will strive to make people smile while offering irresistible food offers, in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our customers a good reason to come back.

• You have experience in a high volume environment and in direct contact with customers, ideally in service or sales.
• You are accessible, you like to work directly with customers and you always strive to provide them with an excellent service.
• You are physically resilient and able to stand for an extended period of time, even when the frequency of clients is lower.
• You have a strong team spirit, but you also like to take responsibility for your own work.
• You flourish in a very dynamic and stimulating environment and work well under pressure.
• You have mastered computer science, especially MS Office.
• You are flexible and understand that your working hours depend greatly on the opening hours of the store.
• You speak fluently French and have a good level of English. Knowledge of any other national language is an advantage.

Your responsibilities

• Serve and meet customers with an empathic and caring attitude based on IKEA values.
• Ensure that foods, beverages and products in your area of responsibility are of the highest quality and freshness and are presented in the most attractive way possible.
• Ensure your area of responsibility is always clean, organized and attractive.
• Accept payments and process cash transactions at the cashier.
• See the food sector through the eyes of our customers to constantly improve our products and meet their needs.
• Find more efficient working methods to reduce costs and be more aware of costs, including controlling waste, correcting portion sizes, verifying production levels and updating cooking methods.
• Respect and monitor internal rules, policies and daily operational routines regarding quality, food security and stock numbers.
