The Maxifacial and Oral Surgery Service allows you to practice your profession in a modern and technical environment. It offers you the opportunity to develop your technical skills by accessing continuing training and congresses specific to your field of expertise. The HUGs support you in developing your skills and provide cutting-edge equipment. This opportunity allows you to discover different and complex situations, to progress in your dental hygienist profession and to broaden your field of knowledge to other medical specialties. Your activity can be carried out in parallel with an activity in private practice. First contact of patients upon arrival, your ease in human relations and patient service accompanies them throughout their care within the unit. In addition to your technical skills, your skills of empathy and listening are strongly mobilized to reassure them. You work in a multidisciplinary team of doctors, dentists, maxillofacial surgeons, dental assistants, and dental hygienist. In your role, you are autonomous to perform oral examinations and stomatology, as well as activities of marking, polishing, curing, gingival surfacing and fingerprinting for making fluorination gutter. You develop treatment plans with the dentist, patients and provide prevention advice. You ensure dental follow-up of the ENT patient and hospitalized throughout their hospital journey. Your sense of service allows you to adequately accompany patients who may be ill or with disabilities and help them in their mobility. You work independently in the care of patients while having a binomial with which you share your practices and specific care. In parallel, you contribute to the training of future dentists when observing practices alongside you. To ensure the smooth running of the unit, you manage patient records and perform the billing according to the applicable rates. Accuracy and rigour are required to succeed in these administrative activities.
