Role overview

Occupational therapy aims to maintain, acquire or recover an optimal autonomy in daily, professional and leisure life, with the greatest possible safety.

It acts according to the potential and constraints of the person's environment.

Based in temporary reception units or in home support units located in the canton, the occupational therapist provides services independently, respecting the customer's lifestyle, beliefs, values and culture.

Main responsibilities

  • Your missions and responsibilities
  • To provide, in collaboration and synergy with the multidisciplinary team, on medical prescription, occupational therapy benefits to people limited in their ability to act by illness, accident or age-related problems.
  • Promote the development and/or maintenance of independence, patient autonomy in the activities of daily life, through rehabilitation and rehabilitation measures
  • Coordinate the group and community activities of the unit. Occupational therapist degree Recognition of the Red Cross
  • Right of practice (for the Canton of Genéve) or steps already under way
  • Diverse experience of at least two years in hospital, EMS or home
  • Experience in animation of therapeutic groups
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and autonomous manner
  • Good knowledge of the health and social fabric and the Geneva care and support network will be an asset.
