Justice of the Peace is the Authority for the Protection of Children and Adults. As such, it acts on request or ex officio. At the end of the investigation, it is decided whether or not to introduce a protective measure. The Judge of the Peace shall also have jurisdiction in matters of inheritance and in the area of layoffs.
