Role overview
- Support and further development of the manufacturing processes for a wide, globally used Fiberoptic cable range
- Accompanying and documenting new developments up to series production readiness in an agile development team
- Evaluation of new raw materials as part of product development
- Optimization of existing manufacturing processes, workflows, plant configurations and workplaces in cooperation with production
- Creation and ongoing expansion of process documentation in accordance with EN9100
- Responsible for the design, procurement and maintenance of extrusion tools, injection heads and extruders
- Plastics technologist EFZ, ideally with a focus on extrusion
- Further training as a plastics technician HF is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of length production with mono- and co-extrusion, material behavior of thermoplastics (e.g. HFFR-PE, PBT, TPU), their failure analysis and quality management
- Very good and quick comprehension of plant operation, extrusion processes and optical fiber optic technology
- Analytical thinking and structured way of working, proactive and resilient
- Experienced use of digital tools (process, product and project documentation)
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German
- Collaboration in the development of the latest technologies in the field of optical fiber optic technology in an international customer environment
