- Your day-to-day work involves removing and installing equipment components across accelerator facilities, tracking interventions using CERN's management tools, and coordinating on-site progress with engineers and technicians Your responsibilities
- Remove equipment components for refurbishment or replacement.
- Comfortable using standard hand tools and basic technical equipment.
- No prior experience with particle accelerators or beam instrumentation required.
Main responsibilities
- Your day-to-day work involves removing and installing equipment components across accelerator facilities, tracking interventions using CERN's management tools, and coordinating on-site progress with engineers and technicians Your responsibilities
- Remove equipment components for refurbishment or replacement.
- Install new instrumentation systems and upgrades throughout the accelerator complex.
- Track your tasks using CERN's management tools and provide updates in team meetings.
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other groups to keep everyone informed of on-site progress.
- Work across different areas of CERN's accelerator facilities, following all safety protocols and ensuring precise, clean execution of technical interventions.
Key requirements
- Comfortable using standard hand tools and basic technical equipment.
- No prior experience with particle accelerators or beam instrumentation required.

- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
Application process
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical or Electrical (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma .
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree are not eligible.
- Job closing date: 02.08.2026 at 23:59 CEST.
- Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
- Working hours: 40 hours per week Job flexibility: Fully Onsite Target start date: 01-December-2026 This position involves:
- Work in Radiation Areas.
- Interventions in underground installations. A valid driving licence.
