Who are we?

The Forest and Nature Service (SFN) is responsible for the management and conservation of forests, biotopes, landscape, protection and promotion of flora and fauna, prevention and protection against natural hazards, and forestry training.

Main responsibilities

  • You work autonomously, assume responsibilities and are capable of successfully completing complex tasks in a structured manner and implementing them successfully
  • You master the German language and have very good knowledge of French

Key requirements

  • Diploma in forest engineering (EPFZ or UAS) or equivalent training
  • Personnel management skills and experience in management positions
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of protection forest maintenance and forest engineering
  • Mastery of IT tools and geographic information systems
  • Autonomous work, responsibility assumption and structured complex task completion
  • Fluency in German and very good French knowledge
  • Interest in biodiversity promotion and forestry police matters
  • You preferably hold a diploma in forest engineering from EPFZ or a specialized university of applied sciences (HES/UAS), or equivalent training
