One or two Early Childhood Socio-Educational Assistants (SEA) at the Integration Service 20-90% (m/f/d) 5-month CDD

The French-speaking Swiss Migration & Integration Department, an office of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg, is responsible for the support and integration of refugees in the canton of Fribourg on the basis of a State mandate. The Integration Service is a multidisciplinary service composed of 30 people in five areas. The mission of the Service is to promote the sustainable professional and social integration of refugees. Professionals accompany individual and group beneficiaries to assess their needs and skills, develop customized measures and coordinate work with other services and external partners. To support the early childhood team, the Integration Service is looking for one or two Early Childhood Socio-Educational Assistants (SEA) for a fixed term. The hours and opening hours of the daycare are as follows: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The daycare is closed from 21.12.2026 to 01.01.2027 and from 08.02.2027 to 19.02.2027.

Your tasks

• Contribute to the proper functioning, planning and dynamics of day care
• Participate in registration management
• Welcoming and actively supporting children and their parents in the separation process
• Organize and facilitate various recreational and creative activities
• Manage routine purchases (tasting, business equipment, other supplies)
• Life and daily application of the teaching concept of the reception structure
• Provide secure, educational and stimulating leadership
• Participate in the supervision of child care assistants and trainees
• Attend Team Sessions
• Diploma of socio-educational assistant (ESA) and experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
• Excellent ease in the relationship with children from 6 months to 8 years and their families
• Very good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work with a group of 20 children in a multicultural context
• Ability to adopt a benevolent professional posture and to demonstrate an unimpeachable work ethic
• Strong sense of responsibility and professional rigour, including in the care and protection of children
• Perfect mastery of French; knowledge of other languages is an asset
• The delivery of ordinary and special extracts from the criminal record will be required prior to entry into office.
