It accompanies the administrative procedure for archaeological remains and implements excavations and, where appropriate, measures to preserve the remains.

- Develop complete diagnostics of archaeological objects, define and document appropriate conservation and restoration interventions
- Ensure conservation and restoration treatments, including in the laboratory of inert materials, respecting the integrity of objects and the requirements for traceability, durability and preservation of heritage
- Ensure the writing of processing reports and scientific articles
- Ensure the packaging and preservation of archaeological furniture; collaborate in monitoring the state of archaeological collections
- Ensure archiving of produced documents and their integration into the information system
- Contribute to the transfer of knowledge by training trainees and other collaborators in good conservation-restoration practices, as well as in the development of heritage by providing guided visits to groups
