Collaborator for our Anti-Racism Listening and Advisory Service for the Canton of Fribourg 40%, CSD 4-5 months, (h/f/d)

The "Info-Racisme Fribourg" service is part of Caritas Switzerland's Migration & Integration Department and offers, on the canton's mandate, a listening and counselling place for people facing situations of racial discrimination. Depending on their needs, the head of the service will provide legal advice, administrative support, guidance to a suitable service, direct intervention with a third party or simply information. In order to replace the head of the service temporarily, we are looking for an independent and motivated person, ready to provide the consultation part of the service in order to meet the needs of the victims or witnesses as well as the organizations that address the Service.

Your tasks

• Administrative support, intervention, mediation, information, social and/or legal advice and guidance to victims or witnesses of racism; and organizations requesting the Service
• Active participation in Roma and national networks of counselling centres for victims and witnesses of racism
• Bachelor's degree in social work, or equivalent, or SWC Social Education Assistant
• Attested professional experience in counselling, mediation, preferably in the field of prevention of racism and issues related to discrimination
• Empathy and listening capacity
• Knowledge of the associative, institutional and political network in Fribourg
• Aisance in oral and written communication with modern means
• Autonomy, initiative and flexibility in working hours
• Mastering the French or German language with very good oral and written knowledge of the other language. Other languages are an asset
