Role overview

To complement its team, the Medical Directorate is looking for a Deputy Medical Officer (in relation to the service of orthopaedics and traumatology) 80-100% Your mission: You will have a key role in developing an innovative clinical activity, at the interface of geriatrics, perioperative internal medicine and orthopaedic surgery.

Key requirements

  • You are benefiting from,a federal degree in doctor or equivalent
  • You are a ISFM specialist in general internal medicine with a comprehensive ISFM degree in geriatrics You are a holder of,a PhD
  • You have at least three years of experience as a clinical/CEO assistant
  • You have an academic qualification (teacher of teaching and research and/or Privat-docent) which is an asset
  • You have taken a management course or have experience in managing,a service, an asset
  • You have a professional background in the field of general internal medicine and a professional background in general medicine
  • You have a professional background in general medicine
  • You have a professional background in geriatrics You have a PhD
  • You have a professional background in general education

Company and context

  • You are engaged in clinical, academic and organizational activity based on three main axes. 1. Development of the orthogeriatric unit:
  • To ensure medical responsibility and contribute to the development of the orthogeriatric unit according to a model of co-management with the orthopaedic teams.
  • To carry out complete geriatric assessments and to participate in the development of individualized care plans.
  • To participate in multidisciplinary visits and weekly symposia with medical, nursing and rehabilitation teams.
  • To develop treatment pathways, protocols and quality indicators specific to orthogeriatry. 2. Perioperative internal medicine
  • Ensure internistic management of patients hospitalized or operated in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Optimize preoperative evaluation, co-morbidity management and postoperative follow-up.
  • Collaborate with orthopaedic teams in the development of integrated perioperative medicine. 3. Liaison geriatrics
  • Provide inpatient geriatric liaison consultations
  • Issue diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations in collaboration with medical and health teams.
