ICT Directorate

As Head of System Engineering, you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the System Engineering division. Together with your team, you will ensure a stable, secure and future-oriented ICT infrastructure and develop it continuously. You will take over the technical and human leadership of the team, coordinate challenging infrastructure projects and ensure that modern technologies are introduced efficiently and sustainably. In close cooperation with internal departments, ICT management and external partners, you actively shape the technological development of our organization.

Your tasks

• You lead the System Engineering team professionally and in terms of personnel and promote the continuous development of your employees
• You are responsible for the stable, secure and economical operation of the entire ICT infrastructure
• You support the system and infrastructure strategy in coordination with the infrastructure management and implement it together with your team
• Ensure the availability, performance, stability and security of ICT systems
• You are responsible for the operation and further development of the Microsoft environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID)
• Ensure reliable operation of virtualization, storage, backup and recovery solutions
• You coordinate cooperation with internal departments, external service providers and suppliers
• You will evaluate new technologies, identify potential for optimization and drive the standardization and automation of the ICT infrastructure
• You support your team with complex technical issues and escalations in 2nd and 3rd level support

Your profile

• You have completed training in computer science (EFZ, HF, FH or comparable), ideally supplemented by further training in the field of leadership or ICT management
• You bring several years of professional experience as a system engineer as well as experience in a managerial or technical coordinating function
• You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, virtualization and server, storage, network and cloud infrastructures
• You have experience in project management, planning and implementing complex ICT projects
• You have a strong understanding of ICT security, backup, monitoring and security solutions
• You convince through a solution-oriented, structured and entrepreneurial way of working
• You have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills and understand how to motivate and develop employees
• You communicate with the addressees at all hierarchical levels and have very good German and English skills (further language skills are an advantage)
