Role overview

Introduction For our Research & Development department, we are looking for a trainee whose mission is to develop and use digital tools dedicated to the simulation of thin layer stacking and to establish a correlation between simulation results and experimental measurements.

The internship is offered for a duration of 6 months 100%, from July 2026 or to agree.

Main responsibilities

  • Simulate different thin layer stacks to achieve target colors
  • Develop/implement algorithms integrating the impact of roughness on optical response
  • Analyze and identify parameters influencing the spectra obtained (interfaces, alloys, density, etc.)
  • Design and perform experimental tests to validate models and compare theory and practice Write a final report Profile
  • Currently in Master's studies in materials physics, optical or deemed equivalent
  • Academic experience or significant project in optical simulation, ideally via finite element methods (FEM) or finite volumes (BEM)
  • Very good programming skills and digital tools (Matlab, Python, C++)
  • Knowledge of the ALD, PVD and PECVD filing processes appreciated
  • Scientific curiosity, rigour and analytical spirit
  • Good relational, proactive and autonomous Conclusion We offer you a stimulating environment, excellent working conditions and top social benefits.
