With a new real-time data platform, we create the basis for much more precise forecasts and data-driven decisions. If you want to use modern streaming technologies and help shape a strategically important platform right from the start, you are at the right place.
Your field of activity
- You develop central components for a modern real-time data platform and accompany them from conception to productive operation
- Together with experts from different disciplines, you will design and design decisions for scalable data and platform solutions
- You implement streaming solutions with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink and ensure their stability and quality
- The further development of deployment, automation and operational processes is part of your area of responsibility
- You analyze complex technical issues in a structured manner and derive pragmatic solutions for sustainable platforms from them.
- With your know-how, you will contribute to building a new data platform that will significantly develop BKW’s forecasting capabilities.
Your strengths
- You have several years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or platform engineering and move safely in production-related environments
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink enables you to successfully implement distributed systems and streaming architectures
- You use German and English safely in everyday work and communicate appropriately to the addressees at different levels
- An independent and initiative way of working distinguishes you and you recognize tasks before someone has to assign them
- Openness and a constructive approach to different stakeholders help you to develop viable solutions together
- Knowledge of Java or Python as well as experience with Kubernetes, Azure Cloud or modern Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Apache Paimon, Databricks or Snowflake ideally round off your profile
