Role overview
- Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS (Leading Ledger) and local law (CO)
- Ensuring the correct mapping of business transactions in SAP (FI/CO) and assuming responsibility for the reconciliation and quality of balance sheet, pass-through and intercompany accounts
- Analysis of existing accounting processes, identification of optimization potentials and implementation of improvements together with the relevant interfaces
- Creation and maintenance of clear and comprehensible documentation of processes, controls and accounting matters
- Participation in the further development of the internal control system (ICS) in the area of Record-to-Report (RTR)
- Accompaniment of internal and external audits as a competent contact person
- Active involvement in finance projects, automation and system optimization topics as well as support for the further standardization of finance processes
- Successfully completed further training in finance and accounting (e.g. specialist certificate, university of applied sciences degree or an equivalent qualification)
- Several years of sound practice in accounting according to IFRS (OR experience desirable)
- High balance sheet and closing security
- Good knowledge of SAP R/3 (FI/CO)
- Confident command of the MS Office package (especially Excel) as well as good written and spoken German and English skills
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as the ability to set priorities and keep track of things even in phases with intensive closing
- Ideally, you already have experience from an industrial environment
