Role overview
- Operating, maintaining and strategically developing core applications of mission-critical military Command & Control (C2) systems for Swiss airspace surveillance as well as the associated user software
- Requirements of the users, taking into account the applicable regulatory requirements (BAZL, MAA, EUROCONTROL etc.), converting them into technical solutions and developing architectures, designs, concepts and specifications
- Further develop, parameterize and optimize the system network of airspace surveillance and ensure high availability and reliable and stable operation
- Participate in the planning, procurement, integration, verification / validation and use of complex software and system architectures in close cooperation with users and partners (armasuisse, Luftwaffe, skyguide and private companies)
- Develop technical and scientific bases for the further development of airspace surveillance and advise users and decision-makers on the optimal use and further development of the systems
- Track scientific and technological developments, initiate, coordinate and lead research and development projects with universities and partner organisations
- Completed studies at a university (FH, UNI, ETH), in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or comparable discipline with practice in software development and architecture of PaaS and SaaS
- In-depth knowledge of analysis, coding and system programming for real-time systems as well as integration of complex systems
- Knowledge of data fusion and the development of scalable software solutions for distributed systems as well as practical experience with network and communication technologies
- Experience with complex software projects in the enterprise and security critical environment
