Portrait The school Manuel is a managed quarter school (Schulkreis Kirchenfeld-Schosshalde) of the city of Bern. From the summer of 2026, the school will lead 46 classes from kindergarten to 9. School year with about 900 children and adolescents and 130 employees. The school location Manuel includes the school complex Manuel, the Wittigkofen School House, the Elfenau Quarter School House, the Kirchenfeld full-day base level and day care.

Do you like to be in the water, work with children and want to provide swimming competently and safely? We look forward to your application!
For our swimming lessons we are looking for a dedicated swimming instructor for three hours a week. Classes take place between the autumn holidays and the end of May, on Tuesday afternoons.
They accompany a 4th class (half class) on the way back and forth to the swimming pool and teach the students in cross-class, performance-homogeneous groups. With your expertise and enthusiasm, you will introduce the children specifically and with pleasure to the passing of the WSC course. Throughout the time, you will be assisted by a class help.
The exchange in the swimming instructor team is desired and offers space for cooperation and further development. Prerequisite is a valid swimming brevet.

Requirements
- Completed or ongoing training as a sports or swimming instructor or as a primary instructor (teacher seminar or bachelor degree)
- Valid floating brevet

- Team skills and willingness for professional exchange in the swimming instructor team
