The Biel Hospital Center is the public center hospital of the bilingual Biel-Seeland-Berne Jura region. Interested in working alongside our 2,000 employees for the health of our population? For our Technology department, which is responsible for the operational readiness of all home and medical infrastructures in the hospital center, we are looking for a new head of home technology.

For our Technology department, we are looking for a head of House Technology immediately or by agreement

You do.

• Leadership and management of the building technology team after in-depth training: responsibility for the management, organization and coordination of the employees of the building technology department
• Ensure the proper functioning of the hospital’s technical infrastructure in cooperation with the technical team, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, sanitary, elevator installation and building automation
• Planning and coordination of maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, controls, revisions and optimisations of technical infrastructure
• Communication and cooperation: contact person for his own area of expertise, close cooperation with other departments (e.g. buildings and areas), cooperation and coordination in projects
• Documentation and reporting: Ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation of all technical installations, maintenance and repair protocols, as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements and regulations
• Pikettdienst: Ensuring the fast and effective solution of technical problems or emergencies in the hospital, as well as taking over services on a regular basis, including readiness for weekend services (about 6 times a year)

• Training: Completed basic technical or craft training with EFZ or equivalent, further training at a higher technical school or university in the following areas of building automation, HVAC, mechatronics or electrical engineering is desired
• Professional experience: Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in the field of home engineering or facility management, preferably in hospital or service sector
• Positive and appreciative leadership style, as well as strong communication
• Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to problems, knowledge of how to understand and implement technical standards / updates, experience in the management of technical projects
• Organizational talent, resilience and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Language skills: native language German and good French skills or vice versa in word and writing, technical English skills in word and writing
• Driving licence: category B or willing to obtain it
• Residence: within a radius of about 30 minutes from Biel/Bienne
